Bogandilla Wind Farm

A new wind farm project in Australia

Project Location

Bogandilla Wind Farm project is located approximately 5km north of the township of Dulacca and 40km west of Miles, Queensland. The project is located within the Western Downs Regional Council and the Federal Electorate of Maranoa.

The proposed wind farm site extends over approximately 13,000 hectares of land predominantly used for grazing and cropping. The project will be able to effectively co-exist with the existing agricultural use of the land and will occupy less than 2% of the total land area. The site has been selected as it is ideal for a renewable energy development for the following reasons:

  • Environmental impacts are relatively low because the site is predominantly cleared with minimal tree and shrub coverage;
  • Topography and terrain that meet our requirements;
  • accepting community familiar with wind farm projects.
